About Josh
A 12-year veteran of the Pennsylvania National Guard and a Clarion Township resident, Rep. Josh Bashline was elected in 2024 to serve his first term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He is proud to represent the 63rd Legislative District, which covers all of Clarion County and parts of Armstrong County.
Bashline is a strong advocate and protector of the Second Amendment and wants to bring more family-sustaining jobs to his district while cutting intrusive government red tape. His priorities include supporting local jobs, workers and small businesses; backing efforts to secure the border and protect Pennsylvanians; boosting American energy independence to stop price hikes; upholding election integrity by supporting commonsense voter ID; and giving parents more control over their children’s education.
For the 2025-26 session, Bashline will serve on the House Environmental and Natural Resources Protection, Housing and Community Development, Human Services, and Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness committees.
Prior to joining the General Assembly as a member, Bashline gained experience in the state House where he served as a member’s district office manager.
Outside of legislative duties, Bashline was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard and served for 12 years. As a member of the National Guard, he was deployed overseas and has been called upon for duty at the local, state and federal levels. Bashline received multiple awards and commendations for achievement.
A graduate of Edinboro University and the Dale Carnegie Leadership Development Program, Bashline is excited to get to work to bring meaningful, positive change to his constituents and all Pennsylvanians.
