Bashline: Nearly $646,000 in State Funding Dedicated to 63rd District

HARRISBURG – Rep. Josh Bashline (R-Clarion/Armstrong) announced today nearly $646,000 in Local Share Account (LSA) grant funding is heading to the 63rd District to support various local infrastructure, public safety and community resource projects.
The following projects were approved for funding:
• Worthington West Franklin Joint Municipal Authority: $147,400 to install water treatment plant communication upgrades at the facilities located in West Franklin Township.
• Redbank Township: $118,075 to buy a tractor with a bucket to be used in the township.
• Hawthorn Borough: $100,225 to acquire radios and skid steer attachment equipment, as well as a tractor with attachments.
• Ashland Township: $98,870 to purchase a teleskid for use in the township.
• Clarion Borough: $70,178 to buy a fire rescue utility vehicle for Clarion Fire and Hose Company No. 1.
• Beaver Township: $66,057 to purchase a new tractor and boom mower attachment for the township.
• Union Area Council of Governments (COG): $45,000 to complete a feasibility study for the Union COG Pool Park located in Sligo Borough, Clarion County.
“This is a massive win for the district I am grateful to represent,” said Bashline. “This was a team effort where I collaborated with each organization’s officials, as well as Sens. Scott Hutchinson and Joe Pittman. I am proud to see our hard work pay off so we can improve the lives of residents in Clarion and Armstrong counties.”
The grants were approved and awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which was established as an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth. LSA grants are derived from gaming revenues.
