More Than $950,000 Allocated to Clarion County Project, Says Bashline
October 15, 2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Josh Bashline (R-Clarion/Armstrong) announced the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) awarded a $966,000 loan to Nexgen Dairy Inc. in Mayport, Clarion County, to assist with a two-phase project.
The first phase at the main farm includes building a 121-foot-wide by 14-foot-deep liquid manure storage facility. At the Macadam Road farm, a 96-foot by 42-foot heavy-use area will be constructed with a 32-foot by 42-foot roofed manure storage facility. Roof structures at the existing farm will be modified to ensure no additional stormwater runoff enters the pastures south of the new facilities.
“This project is a key commitment to both our farmers and environment,” says Bashline. “By reducing runoff and improving manure storage, we are helping local operations remain productive while protecting the land and water resources that sustain our communities. I joined company officials in advocating for these critical dollars, and I am pleased to see our efforts be successful.”
Founded in 1988, PENNVEST provides grants and low-interest loans for design, engineering and construction of publicly and privately owned drinking water distribution and treatment facilities, as well as storm water and wastewater projects.
