Grant Funding Allocated to Clarion County, Says Bashline

February 26, 2025

HARRISBURG – Rep. Josh Bashline (R-Clarion/Armstrong) announced the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) awarded $300,000 in grant funding to the Clarion County Board of Commissioners.

According to Bashline, the funding will be used for a bridge rehabilitation project on Mill Creek Road located in Clarion Township.

“Safety is one of my top priorities, and this funding goes a long way to protecting Clarion County residents,” said Bashline. “I’m grateful for the proactive efforts by the Clarion County Board of Commissioners to work diligently on identifying this issue and securing these funds.”

“The estimated cost of the total project is $506,000,” said Wayne Brosius, Clarion County Commissioner. “This grant will offset most of the cost to the county. The project will take care of deficiencies on Millcreek Road like cracks, erosion, and rust. The biggest expenses will be to blast clean and paint the existing structural steel. Thank you to everyone for making this happen.”

The funding comes from the Multimodal Transportation Fund under the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which manages the state’s economic stimulus programs. The fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure a safe and reliable system of transportation is available in the Commonwealth.
